I’m José Romero, a photographer based in Los Cabos. For over a decade, I’ve been capturing weddings, portraits, families, and architecture—with the same goal in mind: to preserve what’s real, and tell it beautifully.
My journey started young, influenced by my father’s love for photography and my mother’s artistic spirit. I later found myself drawn to poetry, cinema, and music—all of which still shape how I see the world through the lens.
In recent years, I’ve returned to the slower pace of film photography. I love its texture, its imperfection, and the way it demands presence. My background in cinematography—highlighted by an award-winning short film at the Festival de Cine de Todos Santos—continues to guide my use of light, rhythm, and emotion in every session.
